Buffer.writeInt32BE - buffer - Node documentation
method Buffer.writeInt32BE

Usage in Deno

import { type Buffer } from "node:buffer";
Buffer.writeInt32BE(
value: number,
offset?: number,
): number

Writes value to buf at the specified offset as big-endian. The value must be a valid signed 32-bit integer. Behavior is undefined when value is anything other than a signed 32-bit integer.

The value is interpreted and written as a two's complement signed integer.

import { Buffer } from 'node:buffer';

const buf = Buffer.allocUnsafe(4);

buf.writeInt32BE(0x01020304, 0);

console.log(buf);
// Prints: <Buffer 01 02 03 04>

Parameters

value: number

Number to be written to buf.

optional
offset: number = 0

Number of bytes to skip before starting to write. Must satisfy 0 <= offset <= buf.length - 4.

Return Type

number

offset plus the number of bytes written.
